MCC National - Homecraft information

WELCOME TO HOMECRAFT 2023

Many members find that the winter months provide an ideal opportunity to get started on their Homecraft entries so we hope that you will find something in the 2023 categories list that appeals to your creative instincts!

For the Group Entry category, we are reverting back to the enclosed base format and hoping that you will find the theme ‘Market Day’ offers your members a great opportunity to showcase the collective talent in your Group!

We have responded to requests to bring back the baking categories by providing a recipe for a Victoria Sponge for the ‘Men Only Cake’ category and fruit scones for the ‘Women Only’.
Cooking times are 20mins for the cake and 10-15 mins for the scones so it will be possible to bake these at the rally if you wish.

For Category C: Carving, you will possibly need to find a friendly builder in your locality to obtain your lightweight building block!

We hope that the large number of people who viewed and admired the Homecraft entries at Stafford will find our 2023 categories interesting and feel encouraged to enter the competition themselves.

The quality and creative ingenuity of the 2022 Homecraft entries was, as usual, amazing.
Please read the rules and instructions carefully.

Wishing you all the best of luck
