PLEASE NOTE - Due to an intollerable amount of advertising, the original app has been withdrawn. Instead we suggest simply adding a shortcut to your homescreen as detailed below.
If you have a smart phone (Android or Iphone) or tablet, you can now access the Northern Counties rally programme (along with all other UK Group rallies) with the tap of a finger!
Android
To create your home screen icon:
- Launch Chrome for Android and go to the 'Rallies' page (mccnortherncounties.co.uk/Rallies/index.html)
- Tap the Chrome menu button (three dots in the top corner)
- Tap the Add to homescreen option
- Edit the title of your Shortcut if you wish
- Chrome will add it to your home screen.
Iphone
- Open Safari. Other browsers, such as Chrome, won’t work for this.
- Navigate to the 'Rallies' page (mccnortherncounties.co.uk/Rallies/index.html)
(Note: the example in the images below uses a different website but the process is the same) - Tap the Share button at the bottom of the page.
- On the bottom row of icons, scroll over until you see Add to Home Screen and tap this.
- On the next screen, choose a name for the link on your home screen. You’ll see the link so you can confirm it, as well as the NC logo which becomes the “app” icon.
- Now just tap the new app on your home screen, and it will open the website in its own navigation window, independent of Safari.
